Artistic Director Jared Pugh

 

Jared Pugh is an active musician in the Southern California region as a conductor, tenor and music educator. Born in the San Joaquin Valley to a musical family, Jared was initially an instrumentalist but joined choir his freshman year of high school. He went on to study Vocal Performance and Music Education at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB eventually graduating with honors and producing collaborative concerts with both the Dance and Theater departments.

After graduation he developed a passion for sharing his musical expertise with others— children and adults, alike. He was the Assistant Conductor of the K’ol Haemek Chorale for their first two seasons helping establish them as the first Jewish Community Chorale in the San Gabriel Valley. He has also worked extensively as a Musical Director for many theater productions in the Greater Los Angeles Area. As a performer Jared is fluent with both musical theater and classical forms. He is currently a member of Long Beach Camerata and frequently performs in musicals throughout Southern California. Jared is the current Choir Director at San Dimas High School and Lone Hill Middle School and is the Artistic/Executive Director of the Westminster Chorale.
